This has been a book that I have truly read and prayed through and savored to the last drop!
I love this book and can't say enough about it. I don't really know what I was expecting when I picked up this book but it definitely was not a life changing thing...I didn't expect that God would speak to me as much as He did! You see praying through this book I found myself not only praying for my future mate but for myself and how I could be more prepared for marriage and also how I could be bettering my relationship with God while waiting.
The book set up is great it has an introduction chapter and then 12 chapters each dedicated to talking about and praying for a key thing for your future husband.
The chapters were:
- Intro- The extraordinary mystery
- Pray for His heart
- Pray that He will be a God lover
- Pray for understanding
- Pray for Trust
- Pray for loyalty and faithfulness
- Pray for strength
- Pray for protection
- Pray for intimacy
- Pray for "the list"
- Pray for contentment
- Pray for commitment
This book is something I would reccomend to any single woman! No matter the age! I love the thought of loving and praying for the man I will one day marry...I don't know what sort of changes if any that God will intiate in His heart as I pray but as the authors of the book say "there is only one way to find out...PRAY!!"
Not only have I been praying for my future husband through the journey through this book but I have also renewed my mind and relationship with the Lord.
I am still not completely done with the book...in the back of the book there is a scripture and 52 other ways to pray for your future husband...one prayer for every week of the year! I hope to be able to carve out a time every week to pray for our relationship and in the meantime I love having God as my only husband and using my singleness to serve the Lord where I am!
So all in all I love this book and again would suggest it to all single women!
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review
