Last time I talked to you ladies we talked about speech. This time I would like to talk about Influence, both the influence you have on others and the influences you allow yourself to be around.
A wise girl is a good influence and she hangs around people who are a good influence on her. But the author Mary Kassian says it much better than me...

She doesn't mention this in the Video but its in the book. In the book she talked a little bit about how a girl who is a good influence will be a good influence on the man she is dating and the man she is married too. She talked about how when a Wise girl is dating a Godly guy she will have a very positive influence in his life. She said that when her son was dating the woman who is now his wife they noticed a wonderful change in there son because of her influence. They noticed that he was "more kind, more considerate,more gentle, more strong..." and the list went on and ended with "More of the man God made him to be." It was not that this young man wasn't these things before and this girl changed him...It was the fact that she had a good influence on his life. It was the fact that she was so in love with God that this young man had to be in love with God too to get to her.
Girls, The influences we let into are lives and the influence we are to the people around us are not to be taken lightly. So please ask yourselves the questions below and feel free to discuss, comment and ask questions if you would like.
Evaluate yourself...Do you think you are a good influence on those around you?
Do think you are above being influenced?
Who do you think influences you most? Why?
Who are you around the most...People on fire for God and obey Him or Unbelievers?
If you have a boyfriend...think about how he is influencing you. Is his influence making you stronger in your faith or is he hindering you in your walk with God?
Have you seen someone who completely changed because of good or bad influences?

A couple of rules and guidelines for comments:
1. Please have them be appropriate... in the langauge you use, your grammer (As much as possible. I don't expect perfection.), and in regards to staying on the subject of the post.
2. Be honest. Share stories and personal experiances if you would like but please don't share names and locations and such...I don't say this to be mean but to protect everyone here =)

That is so true! For better or worse, girls have a tremendous influence on guys, especially the man they're dating or courting. The simple trust is that when a girl treats me nicely, it makes me treat everyone else nicely. I feel so good that I can't help but want to make everyone else feel good! And on the flip side, when a nice girl treats me like dirt, I'll feel down and bummed. There's the saying "hurt people hurt people", but the reverse is true: "happy people make everyone else happy."
