Ok so I have been wrestling with this question for a while and I still don't have the answer so I thought that maybe I would open up as a discussion here on my blog....
Have you ever noticed the average American household? There is TONS of STUFF. lots of cabinets, drawers, and closets filled to the brim. Nick knacks, papers, odd and ends....It seems a bit much. I don't know maybe that is just me.
But we don't really NEED that much stuff. Stuff can even come to the point of crowding us out of a part or all of our own homes (example hoarders...if you don't know what I am talking about youtube search "Hoarders").
So my question is how much is too much? Is having so much unneeded, duplicate, clutter selfish in a way? Is it sinful? Personally I have been trying to lessen the stuff in my life to make room and time for the more important things...but you know I am not sure....
What do you think? Any scripture that you can think of to help here?

A couple of rules and guidelines for comments:
1. Please have them be appropriate... in the langauge you use, your grammer (As much as possible. I don't expect perfection.), and in regards to staying on the subject of the post.
2. Be honest. Share stories and personal experiances if you would like but please don't share names and locations and such...I don't say this to be mean but to protect everyone here =)
